I got my IVF Calendar!!! I was practically jumping with joy when I got that email. For some reason it feels like this is the beginning and receiving the calendar makes it feel a little more real. Even though I don't take my first shot until Christmas day (hooray!), it's nice to have a plan and feel like things are in motion.
At my last appointment, Dr. L checked my cyst and it's still there, exactly the same size (4cm). He could tell that it's filled with fluid, so we're 90% sure it's an endometrioma. But he's willing to work around it.
I'll be on the Luteal Lupron (OCP) Protocol with an expected 5 day transfer. I'm scheduled to start the Lupron on 12/25, then start stims (Follistim and Menopur) on January 4th. Anticipated retrieval date is 1/15.
I know things can change and that I shouldn't mark these dates off in my calendar just yet, but I'm looking forward to starting another treatment cycle. It's been over a year since our IUI and we really haven't had any real chance to conceive since then.
My injection training appointment is on 12/22 and oddly I'm looking forward to that as well. My goal is to be able to give myself the shots instead of having Daniel do it for me. We'll see if I can stomach it :)
Very exciting! Hoping and praying this is THE cycle for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope so too.
DeleteHi! I stumbled upon your blog and we are on almost the exact same protocol. I start lupron on 12/27 and and stims on 1/8. Can't wait to follow along with you.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I hope we both get BFP's from this. I'll subscribe to your blog so I don't miss any updates :) Good luck!
DeleteGood luck! I stumbled upon your blog from your January post about estrace (I've got leftovers from my failed frozen transfer, and yes it does typically suppress ovulation for the reasons you worked out - I'm trying to work out if I can put it to any further use myself).
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad you found my little corner of the Internet! :)
